Mayor Wes Golden, a dedicated public servant elected to office in August 2022, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for community service to his role. Born and raised in Montgomery County, Mayor Golden is deeply rooted in the region, having graduated from Clarksville High School and pursued higher education in computer science at Austin Peay State University.

With a diverse background spanning both public and private sectors, Mayor Golden has consistently demonstrated leadership and a commitment to the well-being of Montgomery County residents. From managing environmental health in a tier II automotive manufacturer to enhancing safety measures as the Health and Safety Manager for Clarksville, Mayor Golden’s professional journey reflects his dedication to fostering a thriving community.

Mayor Golden’s dedication to service extends beyond the workplace, as evidenced by his involvement with local charitable organizations such as the Dream Factory, Bikers Who Care, and the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition. Recognized as Volunteer of the Year by the Clarksville YMCA in 2016, Mayor Golden’s contributions have made a tangible impact on the lives of countless individuals throughout Montgomery County.
